The Eugene Munsee Cabin

The dovetail notched cabin standing east of this site was
built about 1880 by Eugene Munsee. Munsee was born in Illinois
in 1843 and settled in the west with his brother Edgar, who also
built a farm in the area. Eugene Munsee worked as a blacksmith
in addition to farming and ranching. The farmstead is an excellent
example of a western homestead. Members of the Crossroads Chapter
of the Oregon and California Trails Association re-roofed the cabin in May
and October 1990. It is located on private property. Please do not trespass.
