“The Riverside School was more than a brick-
and-mortal story of construction. It spoke of a
day when friendships were established that
lasted a lifetime, of joyous shouts in the school
yard where games were played and storybook
adventures came to life. From the belfry the
rhythmic sound of the bell beckoned children to
come and learn more of the reading, writing and
arithmetic-to sing songs, to work and to live.
Through the schoolhouse is gone, the bell and
the brick remain to symbolize the wonderful
construction that actually took place here. Lives
were developed and dreams fulfilled giving us
reason to reflect upon the memories of where
it all began.”
