Ruple Point Trail

It is a four mile walk along this trail to its end at Ruple Point. From Ruple Point, you will gaze
down 2,500 feet into Split Mountain Canyon and Island Park, both carvec by the Green River.

This trail is for people. Pets and
bicycles are not permitted.

If you plan to camp along the
trail, you will need to obtain a
backcountry camping permit at
any park visitor center.

Hiking requires preparation and
understanding desert conditions.
Make sure your hike is safe and
enjoyable by:

    Taking
  • Water, 2 quarts per person
  • Sunscreen
  • Snacks, or lunch
    Wearing:
  • Boots or sturdy walking shoes
  • A hat

Pace yourself and take frequent
rests. At this elevation the air is
thin. The sun is hot and intense.
